Kathy Whybrow's son is being treated in Birmingham. He was injured by an IED in Afghanistan a month ago.
"He's this beautiful 19-year-old boy and his life could be over," says Kathy.
"It's a head injury and you can't see it. You look at him and he is beautiful but we don't know what long-term damage is there. We don't know if he'll be able to go down to the shops on the own."
