Steve Wells

If you listened to Metro Radio during the 1970s and 1980s, you'll remember the presenter "Steve King" - well, that was me! I reverted to my real surname (Wells) when I joined Capital Gold London, when it opened in 1988. I spent 5 years in London, then 9 years at Piccadilly Radio in Manchester, first as presenter then Programme Manager of Piccadilly 1152. I also worked for our sister stations Smooth Radio Manchester and Real Radio Yorkshire before returning to my spiritual home, Smooth Radio.

When I'm not at work, you will find me walking or riding my bike, gardening or watching football and cricket.
