The “stop in and cuddle” ones are the ones I’ve enjoyed most
3. What is the most romantic thing you have done for someone?
Met the ex (many, many years ago) on Feb 13th, of all days – the cuddly bumble bee with the message “Bee Mine” the following day seemed to do the trick. Well, for several years anyway.
4. What is the most romantic thing someone has done for you?
The bubble wrap and the warm custard (I made that up, did you guess?)
5. Any funny Valentine stories?
I had to work on Valentines night and my partner left several heart-shaped chocolates in the bed..... not something you necessarily notice at 3 in the morning – however, at 7.30 when you wake up and think you’ve had a terrible accident in your sleep...... that’s when you notice them!
6. Have you ever split up with someone on Valentine’s Day?
No, but just before it once
7. Worst Valentine’s you ever had?
The custard went cold and none of the bubbles would burst….. (sorry!)
8. What would you rather do on Valentine’s? a) Slap up meal? B) Catch a show at the theatre? C) Stay in and watch the telly
Oh give me the slap-up meal. (By all means stand me up so I can have your steak too).
9. If you could choose any Valentine’s date with a celebrity, who would it be?
Bella Emberg. Bubble-wrapped.
10. What’s your favourite romantic film?
That potter’s wheel one – was it “Ghost”? I shed a small, manly tear at the pictures. Mind you, for as deftly as they handled the clay neither of them would have made a good saggar-maker’s bottom knocker……..
