Coronation Street 's Kevin/Molly/Tyrone love triangle is going to come to an explosive end when Vicky Binns leaves the soap.

The actress, who plays Molly Dobbs, joins Bill Tarmey (Jack Duckworth), Julia Haworth and Steve Arnold (Claire and Ashley Peacock) and Rachel Leskovac (Natasha Blakeman) in leaving the Street.

Vicky said: "It's been a joy to be involved in such a fantastic storyline and it is only right that it has the explosive ending viewers are waiting for. I am very excited about playing out the rest of this plot and indeed about what the future holds. I've had an amazing time in the show and feel it's right to leave on such a high."

ITV sources said "shocks" are planned for her character's departure.
